Learn Guitar - How To Learn Guitar Chords Quickly And Easily

You have your first guitar but what do you need to do to start playing it?

Now that you can tune your guitar, you need to get started learning guitar chords.

Unfortunately learning guitar chords can be a frustrating experience at first. It can be difficult to get your fingers to hold down the strings and it’s always a struggle to change between two chords fast enough to play songs.

Learning guitar chords is tough – no doubt about it – but with a few simple tricks and techniques you can save yourself hours of wasted time, energy and frustration

The number one thing you’re going to need when you learn guitar chords is finger strength.

I remember when I first started playing I had the strangest teacher. One of the weirdest things he ever had me do was to practice changing between guitar chords while I was wearing a skin tight pair of leather gloves.

At the time it seemed ridiculous but now I realize there was a method to his madness.

It’s pretty obvious to anyone that playing a guitar with gloves on is difficult. The finger strength you require to make the chords sound correctly is huge.

It worked and my finger strength increased dramatically.

Another key element in learning guitar chords is getting used to playing and changing between chords with a good rhythm.

The key here is to remember that when you change between chords you don’t have to lift your finger too far off the fret board. In fact you only need to lift your fingers a fraction of an inch of the fretboard to change between chords.

The next time your practicing guitar chord changes try to keep in mind how much you are lifting your fingers off the fret board.
